The Eye

The Eye is a large computing and holographic interface device used by the people of Terra Nova to hold the collective information from the future.

Overview

The Eye is situated in a sealed room underneath the command compound accessed through a secure door. The room has a small chamber to the back which houses the liquid memory core and a large chair in the center of the room where the user can access the information viewed holographically. The core is shielded against electromagnetism but is unable to present material if unpowered. Underneath the chair is an access tube that leads to a grate outside the room. (Nightfall)

History

Jim Shannon took his daughter, Zoe, down to the Eye to show her. She asked to see where she was born and then a roller coaster ride. When a meteor caused an electromagnetic pulse, Jim and Zoe became trapped in the Eye and Zoe had to crawl through the access tube to manually released the door to help her father get out. Maddy Shannon used the Eye to look up information on Ken Horton including news stories. (Nightfall, Proof)
