A meteor

A meteor is a piece of rock which passes into the atmosphere and can collide with the Earth. A large meteor containing ferrous metals exploded in the atmosphere and caused an electromagnetic pulse and then collided with the jungle and sent out a sonic wave. After Phoenix Group left Terra Nova and the colony was reclaimed, Maddy Shannon predicted that a meteor shower was to happen, and later that night one did occur. (Nightfall, Resistance)
