Lucas Taylor is the son of Ionie and Nathaniel Taylor and a member of the second pilgrimage.

Biography
Lucas was recruited by an unknown organization to travel to Terra Nova and devise a means to make the time portal two-way. He arrived on the second pilgrimage and worked in the science division. His father once got him to go Fishing with him, despite Lucas' objections. Lucas started his work but when his father uncovered what he was doing, he trashed his sons lab. Lucas went out into the jungle and contacted the future, who sent through General Richard Philbrick to take over for Commander Taylor. The Commander found Lucas and when he refused to step down and was forced to kill Philbrick, he told his son to go and never come back. At some point Lucas was attacked by a Nykoraptor, barely escaping, which left a large scar on the side of his head. (Vs., Proof, Occupation)
The Commander told others that Lucas went missing, but he remained alive out in the jungle inscribing glyphs onto the rocks at Snakehead Falls, and working on some mathematical theorems to finish his work. Mira was sent to Terra Nova to deliver a box to Lucas, but left it behind at the colony when she and the other Sixers suddenly left Terra Nova. She later retrieved it and took it to Lucas. Lucas worked on his calculations, having Skye take the final calculations to the colony to be figured out by The Eye. He managed to complete his work and went to the portal terminus, using it to send out a wave and throw back the security guards on duty there. He waited until nightfall when his father and Jim Shannon showed up to stop him, Lucas activated the portal and left back to the future. (Within)
Lucas met with Weaver and watched the Phoenix Group prepare for its attack on Terra Nova, he accompanied them back and took control of the colony. Lucas went with Weaver to oversee the detonation of a pyrosonic device to clear a valley of plants and animals, when his father disabled the device before it could be detonated, Lucas fired a rocket into the valley attempting to kill his father. Lucas became very upset when his father started to perform hit and run attacks against the Phoenix patrols. (Occupation)
He and Skye went out to the terminus where she helped him be ambushed and captured. Lucas managed to escape and made his way to the terminus but came across his father in the jungle, the two men fought and Lucas was defeated. Lucas tricked his father into thinking that he wanted redemption and stabbed his father in the side. About to kill him, Lucas was shot by Skye, who had just showed up and then shot again before he finally fell. After Skye tended to the Commander, they noticed that Lucas' body had disappeared. Personality
Lucas is an incredibly intelligent physicist and is incredibly strong willed and adamant about completing his mission, even if just to defeat his father and crush his beliefs in Terra Nova. Lucas spent years out in the jungles of Terra Nova surviving by himself alone, evading dinosaurs and completing his calculations by carving them into rocks. Lucas is fueled by his desire to avenge the death of his mother and destroy his father. (Occupation, Nightfall)
